Clear answers before the project starts
Practical basics for procurement, maintenance and consultants to collect the right data and move forward.
How is the right cooling tower capacity selected?
Selection depends on water flow, entering and leaving temperatures, design wet-bulb temperature, water quality and elevation. MB GROUP starts with a survey and verified operating data.
What is the difference between counterflow and crossflow?
In counterflow towers, air moves opposite to falling water for a compact footprint. In crossflow towers, air moves horizontally through the water path, often making distribution access easier. Site, load, maintenance and noise determine the choice.
Can an existing tower be improved instead of replaced?
Yes. We first assess the structure, fill, nozzles, fan, motor, flow and thermal performance. Rehabilitation can be more economical when the core structure remains serviceable.
How often does a cooling tower require maintenance?
Frequency varies by operating hours, water quality and environment, but regular visual checks and a seasonal preventive plan reduce failures and efficiency loss.
Do you provide installation and commissioning?
Yes. The service covers site preparation, mechanical and electrical connections, testing, initial commissioning and operating recommendations.
What data is needed for a technical proposal?
Water flow, entering and leaving temperatures, site wet-bulb temperature, application, operating hours, water quality, available space and any site drawings or photos.
